EMS Thermostat Mode remotely replaces a failed local thermostat, keeping a system cooling a vacant property until a technician arrives. Preconditions verified before activation:
- Fuse confirmed OK — 24V not blown
- Float switch in normal position — no drain clog
- Pressures and motor operation confirmed via remote bidirectional testing
- Confirmed: no call for cool from local thermostat — thermostat failure verified
- Thermostat Mode activated with agreed setpoint — system keeps cooling until on-site repair
